Who they are

Friends With Dignity works with survivors of domestic violence and their children across Australia, on the principle that every survivor deserves a fresh start. Their Sanctuary Program furnishes an empty house so a family leaving violence walks into a home rather than four walls.

Alongside that they run Little Friends, which covers scholarships, school costs and urgent help for the children, who are usually the quietest people in the story. Their line is Step Up. Speak Out. Support.

What we did

We donated 58 garments, and separately printed and pressed polos and caps for their team in our own warehouse.

Leaving is the expensive part. Families often go with a bag each, and clothing is one of the first things that runs short and one of the last things anyone thinks to donate.

Why this one matters

A fresh start is a phrase that gets used a lot. In practice it means somebody needs a shirt that is theirs, that nobody else picked, that says something they would have chosen to say.
